The BHASVIC Flourish Programme
Academic mentoring at Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth-form College
Flourish was an academic mentoring programme for students at Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth-form College (BHASVIC) who faced certain economic and social disadvantages. As part of the college’s social mobility strategy, the project aimed to improve retention on its courses, boost students’ progress and support widening participation in meaningful destinations after their sixth-form studies. Flourish also aimed to boost students’ confidence so they could access enrichment and personal development opportunities.
