Greener Sussex Careers Project
Improving careers advisers’ knowledge of net-zero opportunities
This project aims to raise awareness among careers advisers of courses available throughout Sussex that can equip learners to enter sustainable and net-zero careers across a range of sectors.
Its central aim is to produce an online portal featuring qualifications, courses and labour market information to help careers advisers understand the opportunities in the ‘green economy’ and the pathways learners can take to enter into them. In addition, a workshop to introduce the portal and explore ‘green’ courses will be created, as well as a roadmap of CPD sessions so advisers can continue to provide the best support on sustainable and net-zero careers. Resources from the project will also be available on SLN’s Get Career Confident and Learning4LifeSussex websites, and through #ChangeMakers21, a series of virtual events where employers talk about emerging careers.
