Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Microaggressions Project
Tackling subtle racism in schools and colleges
When discussing racism and discrimination, racist banter and microaggressions are the most common issues reported by young people of colour in schools and universities. This programme was created so that Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic secondary school pupils and university students could provide information to create a lesson plan that addresses microaggressions. It also aimed to support school staff and students to build an understanding of the impact of microaggressions and to develop effective strategies to deal with these negative behaviours when they occur.
