Art and humanities under threat: creating a protected space and place through outreach

This project was developed following a feasibility study across the Humanities and History of Art departments at the Universities of Brighton and Sussex to support progression into creative arts and humanities while trying to counteract the fact that arts subjects have faced many cuts. It offered Year 12 students the opportunity to be inspired by the range of pathways into creative arts and humanities, and worked to raise attainment through developing research skills at Saturday workshops at Brighton Museum.

Partners: University of Brighton and University of Sussex

Funding source: Uni Connect

Duration: September 2018 to July 2019
