Get Career Confident is our dedicated careers programme providing information, guidance and inspiration on careers options and potential pathways to young people, teachers, parents and carers across Sussex and beyond.
A key part of GCC is the sharing of best practice across the region. We also seek to help those who deliver careers lessons and guidance upskill through training, collaboration and insightful events. As part of this commitment we hold termly online CPD sessions open to all involved with careers guidance across Sussex.
Teachers and careers advisors who have taken part in our previous GCC networking events have told us that they value the wealth of inspiration they can access in such an easy and time efficient format. They’ve also told us how valuable the events have been in sharing best practice and creating informal support networks between schools and colleges.
At our next event attendees will have the opportunity to discuss, share and brainstorm their preparations around National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week and to securing work experience for students.
There will also be up update on the local labour market and the skills that local employers are particularly seeking at the moment, as well as an introduction to the latest resources including our new site Learning4Life Sussex here - a hub of practical education, life and careers information.
