Wanting to promote student wellbeing through creativity?
The connection between wellbeing and creativity is understood better now than ever before, so why not make 2022 the year to help your students discover new creative outlets for expressing their feelings and emotions?
On our www.sussexlearningnetwork.org.uk site you can discover a range of free creative resources to use with students of all ages including graphic art and storytelling kits for 4-8 year olds, 9-13 year olds and 14-18 year olds created by after-school learning provider Craftyannies.
You can also download ‘Sense Your Way’, our brand new experimental workbook and teacher resource created by Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne. Created in collaboration with local artists ‘Leap Then Look’ and art students from St Catherine’s College in Eastbourne, the new resource helps young people tune into their senses and express themselves using everyday materials.
Teachers already using the resource have told us that the accessibility of the materials used in each of the exercises, enables them to use the resource widely – to inspire students in the art and at home and to connect with students in new ways in pastoral support.
