BrightIdeas for tomorrow’s doctors

Back for 2022 is Brighton and Sussex Medical School’s BrightIdeas programme. This free initiative offers students in Year 12 or their first year of college the opportunity to complete a certificated, medicine-focused research project. With the support of a current medical student/e-mentor, students choose a chronic medical condition to study and explore how it affects the lives of those living with it. They then share their findings via an essay, video, podcast or blog, as well as at a BrightIdeas conference. The scheme aims to develop the skills, values and attributes needed to study medicine and ultimately become a successful doctor,
