CPD opportunities for Sussex educators
We offer a wide range of CPD to support staff at state schools and colleges across Sussex. Our offer for this academic year includes:
National CPD through the Uni Connect network
We share free CPD that is being delivered by Uni Connect and trusted partners. This is predominately online, at the end of the teaching day. Find out more here.
Negative gendered behaviour
The training ‘unveiling teenage misogyny’ is delivered by staff at Bexhill College in a 90-minute interactive session and aims to equip staff with knowledge, confidence, and potential strategies to respond effectively to misogyny and harmful gendered attitudes within educational environments. The session covers:
- key terminology and concepts
- misogyny in a global and societal context
- the role of social media, influencers, and online movements
- areas of risk and concern within educational settings
- discussion and sharing strategies for addressing negative gendered behaviours in your setting and guidance on implementing approaches in classrooms and across schools
If you would like to find out more about the training, please contact Katherine directly here.
Unconscious Bias Conscious Inclusion
Whole schools / college CPD around Unconscious Bias, Conscious Inclusion and a separate CPD sessions on Responding to Racist Instances. We also provide a selection of CPD with smaller number of staff based on the individual needs of schools and colleges. Contact Debra.
CEIAG
We run termly CPD sessions for careers staff. These sessions give an overview of updates around CEIAG as well as focusing on a specific topic and are hosted across our partners to give staff the opportunity to visit different settings and find out about their provision. Contact Charlie to add staff to the mailing list for the termly sessions.
