South Downs Junior Rangers for Autumn 2026
Open to ages 13 to 16 - volunteering as a Junior Ranger is an exciting way to learn new skills, connect with others who care about the nature, and take action to protect it. It’s also a fun and fulfilling way to complete the Volunteering section of your Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, however you don't have to be doing your D of E award to participate. Join our Ranger team for practical conservation tasks such as habitat restoration, footpath maintenance and wildlife monitoring. Our skilled and experienced rangers will provide training and supervision, including information on how to safely use tools and equipment.
Transport costs are reimbursed up to £10. We also provide up to £5 for lunch
In addition, Junior Rangers undertake a conservation task independently once a month. We provide full support and resources.
The next Junior Rangers programme will start from October 2026 – the deadline to apply is 20 September 2026.
