Sussex Boys - Impact Hub launch
Join the Sussex Boy's Impact launch conference on June 25th exploring outcomes for boys on free school meals, with expert speakers and evidence-based approaches.
The launch of the Hub brings together educators, researchers, third sector and committed, principled community work that seeks to address one of the most pressing challenges we face, the outcomes and progression of young men who are eligible for free school meals.
The first annual conference showcases leaders taking an evidence-based approach to addressing the gap in GCSE outcomes for young men who are eligible for free school meals.
The day will include case studies and discussions from those working with boys in Sussex alongside speakers working nationally in this area including:
- Dr Alex Blower, author, researcher and leader on issues related to masculinity, inequality and education
- Dr Matt Easterbrook, social psychologist interested in social class, socioeconomic status and inequality
- Charlie Monaghan from Progressive Masculinity, reshaping the understanding of masculinity for boys and men
