At our recent Get Career Confident CPD event, held at BHASVIC, we updated careers advisers on Labour Market Information (LMI). GCC has a range of resources that are arranged by and linked to specific sectors, to support teachers, parents & carers, and learners to research careers linked to these key industries and sectors.

Central government has published a list of key sectors for growth and employment, via the Industrial Strategy and Plan for Change. These are outlined below, along with the key sectors identified by the Local Skills Improvement Plan, which identify key sectors for a regional area. The Sussex LSIP is being updated and the second finalised plan is due for publication in the summer 2026.
