Whether you’re still in school, about to leave education, returning to work or supporting someone considering their future options, our new Learning4Life Sussex site acts as a starter information hub and links you to all the best information available from a wide range of carefully selected sites. We’ve done all the hard work so all you have to do is use it as your springboard to explore and be inspired!
The Office for Students requires that each Uni Connect partnership host a learning portal with information to support schools and colleges. Once we’d consulted with local education providers, parents and carers, local authorities, LEPs and business representatives we decided to go a step further to use our site to provide vital information for local people at every stage of their learning and life journey as well as to reach educators and local employers.
The result is a site featuring vital ‘life’ information grouped into five themes:
Learning: Exploring all the learning opportunities available both locally and nationally
Working: Helping school leavers, returners and career changers explore how to plan their careers and gain new skills
Living: Covering everything from housing through to finance benefits and how to support mental and physical health
Employing: Enabling local employers to investigate the benefits of offering work experience opportunities and the support available to open these up to local people
Educating: Helping local educators discover the best tried and tested learning resources and approaches, as well as find out about free networking and professional development opportunities
Learning4Life Sussex is a dynamic resource for all local people that will be constantly updated with the very best information available.
