Sutton Trust Summer Schools – applications now open
Applications are now open for 2026 UK Sutton Trust Summer Schools. The summer schools are the opportunity for learners to experience what university life is like through a free summer school programme. There is a film giving an overview of the summer schools here.
There are resources to help you highlight this opportunity to your leaners with an email template to send to eligible learners, PowerPoint for an assembly, posters, social media details and a guide for teachers. All of these can be found here.
Key dates are:
- 12th February- deadline for Cambridge applications
- 5th March – deadline for all applications
- 11th March – deadline for teacher verification of applications
- April – programme invitations are sent for the online programme
- April / May – application outcomes announced
- June – August – summer schools take place
To be eligible to apply learners must attend (and have always attended) a state-funded, non fee-paying school / college and be studying in Year 12. Full criteria can be found here.
