University of Brighton 2026 Summer Schools open for booking
The University of Brighton summer schools programme offers students in year 12 the chance to experience what it’s like to study at university, helping them to decide about what’s right for them after sixth form or college.
There are three types of summer school:
On-campus non-residential summer schools - 1 & 2 July 2026
The non-residential summer schools in business and law include two days of subject tasters, plus advice and guidance sessions to help students to plan their next steps.
On-campus residential summer schools - 7-9 July 2026
The residential summer schools include three days of subject tasters, advice and guidance sessions, and fun evening social activities and overnight stays in our halls of residence. Subjects available are art and media, engineering, health professions, humanities, science, social science and sport.
Online summer schools - 20-23 July 2026
The online summer schools give students a taste of studying a subject at university without leaving home. They include taster lectures, advice and guidance sessions, live sessions with staff and current students, and time to complete a short project and receive feedback. There is a wide range of subjects to take part in.
All the summer schools are completely free. They're designed for year 12 students studying a level 3 qualification. For on-campus summer schools, places will be offered to students who meet our widening participation criteria.
