University Open Days
Open days are a great way for learners to get a feel for university life and find out everything they need to know about a course, the location, accommodation and support available. UCAS have put together ten essential tips for learners planning on visiting an open day. You can find their top tips here.
There are lots of different websites adverting open days, you can use the UCAS site or others such as opendays.com or the complete university guide to get details about open days across the country.

We know the cost of visiting an open day can be prohibitive for some learners and a number of universities provide some funding towards the transportation costs of getting to their open day. You can ask universities directly if this is available, particularly for learners eligible for free school meals.
