Creative Careers Month
This year Creative Careers Week has been extended from a week to a whole month and will take place throughout November. Discover! Creative Careers Month is a call to arms to employers and individuals across the sector to provide young people aged 11-18 with direct encounters with industry through in-person and online events at workplaces.
Taking part supports schools and colleges to meet several Gatsby benchmarks including:
Benchmark 4: Linking curriculum learning to careers, particularly if you enhance your involvement in activities with the suite of creative industry careers lesson plans
Benchmark 5: Encounters with employers and employees: Discover! Creative Careers month offers opportunities to hear directly from professionals working across the creative industries through online and in-person events
Benchmark 6: Experiences of workplaces. During the month employers are encouraged to open their doors and invite local students for interactive careers activities. Find out more through the opportunity finder.
Your school or college can get involved in Discover! Creative Careers Month 2025 by registering your interest. There is a suite of resources available to support your careers programme including lesson plans, online career insight videos, online information sessions, and a range of videos giving an insight into job roles across the creative industries.
