New Save the Student Bursary
Save the Student is launching their very first Save the Student Bursary. They will be awarding £750 to six new students starting university in 2025-26 to help cover the cost of student essentials like a laptop, bedding, kitchenware, clothes, stationery, specialist equipment for their course and more.
The bursary is intended to help learners from low-income or disadvantaged background and the application will ask if learners were eligible for free school meals, their address, if their parents or carers attended, university, if they are part of any ‘underrepresented groups’ and how they would use the bursary.
To be eligible learners must:
- Be starting their first or foundation year at a UK university in the 2025-26 academic year
- Have a household income of £40,000 per year or less
- Qualify as a Home Fee Status student
- Have an open UK bank account (or have one by the end of August 2025)
Application close at midday on the 20th June 2025 and learners will hear if they have been selected the week of the 7th July 2025.
