New CPD for Careers leads
Our Get Career Confident programme runs regular CPD and Networking sessions for teachers and careers advisors. These informal sessions are designed to give you practical tips and tools to take away to use to support your learners.
They are a great opportunity to connect with peers, enhance your skills, and gain new perspectives on career guidance. We’ve got a really exciting event coming up in June so mark your calendars!
GCC & University of Sussex Gypsy and Traveller Inclusive Services Training
Online - 12th June 4 – 5:30pm
This is a special edition online CPD session with Get Career Confident and the University of Sussex on supporting Careers Guidance for Traveller Heritage, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller students.
Friends Families and Travellers is running this special training session for Careers Advisors and Practitioners.
The session will explore the rich histories and diverse cultures of Gypsy and Traveller communities, census statistics, common barriers preventing Gypsies and Travellers from accessing services and practical solutions you can adopt (as an individual or as an organisation) to improve the inclusivity of your service. We will also be exploring ways in which professionals (YOU!) can best support learners from Gypsy and Traveller communities.
