Join Friends, Families and Travellers to find out how you can support your GRT learners
Friends, Families and Travellers (FFT) work to end racism and discrimination against Gypsy, Roma and Traveller people and to protect the right to pursue a nomadic way of life. You can join FFT in January at their webinar to hear about the Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boaters’ Pledge for Schools.
The Pledge contains a set of actions schools can take with the aim of improving access, retention and outcomes in education for Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boater learners.
During the session you’ll find out what the Pledge contains and hear from speakers:
- Paula Strachan, Head of St Teresa’s Primary School in Darlington on what St Teresa’s does to support its Gypsy pupils
- The Anti-Bullying Alliance on their online CPD training about bullying of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller pupils
