Get Career Confident

Our Get Career Confident website is dedicated to helping young people make informed, inspiring choices about their futures.  Learners and their parents & carers can find our simple ‘how to’ guides on everything from researching universities to making a UCAS application and writing a university personal statement.   Make sure to bookmark www.getcareerconfident.co.uk and share it with your colleagues.  We’ve outlined some of the key resources below to give you an insight into what you can access:

Videos

Our videos are organised into three key areas: 

  • See to Be – these videos feature real people talking about the roles they love, what they involve and how they got into them 
  • How To - covering a range of topics including choosing GCSEs, applying to college, understanding apprenticeships and university and getting your first job.
  • Careers - a set of films to help prepare and inspire and support 

Workshops

Hour-long sessions dedicated to a particular theme and packed with information and practical advice and tips for bringing the issue to life, together with pointers to useful, tried and tested resources. Topics include:

  • Alternatives to university
  • Who am I?
  • Is that really a career?
  • Making good choices
  • Will robots take over?

What Next guides

Two comprehensive ‘what next' guides covering options at 14, 16 and 18.  These can be viewed online or contact Charlie to order paper copies for your school / college

CPD

We run termly online CPD sessions for careers leads.  The dates for this year are:

3rd October 4-5pm (online) and 16th January 4:30-6pm (in person)
