We have some fantastic new videos on our Get Career Confident website which are packed full of information to help young people as they make decisions about their futures. Our videos are made by qualified CEIAG advisers and cover a huge range of topics. Our newest videos are in two areas of our video resources:
- ‘How To’ videos which cover a range of topics including choosing GCSEs, applying to college, understanding apprenticeships and university and getting your first job
- ‘See to Be’ collection which are inspirational videos by professionals in a huge range of sectors. The videos introduce learners to a wide range of career options and give them the opportunity to hear first hand what different jobs entail
Don’t forget to have a look at the rest of our video resources: Career Areas, Greener Careers Sussex and our employer videos. You can use the videos as part of a lesson or simply sign post your learners to the website where they can look through in their own time. When sharing the information with the young people you work with, don’t forget to let them know they can access one-to-one careers support by talking with one of our friendly careers advisors using our Live Chat facility which you can link to from any page of the Get Career Confident site
Our next Careers Leads & CEIAG advisors session is on 25th April and will be focusing on Healthcare. These after school workshops are a great way of enhancing your own professional knowledge and provide practical information on how to support your learners. They are also a good way to meet up with other advisers from across Sussex to hear about the latest initiatives and resources and to share best practice.
