Brook - 60 minute live PSHE lesson
Brook are hosting a free 60 minute PSHE lesson about periods and puberty aimed at year 6 and 7 learners on Thursday 7th March.
It’s the second one that Brook have run done in partnership with Lil-Lets about periods. Brook’s RSE Live Lessons are free, hour-long interactive live-stream broadcasts about different RSE topics. Over 60,000 people tuned in live to our last lesson in September. Secondly, this time of year is a great opportunity to teach this topic.
The lesson plan comes from our PSHE Curriculum which recommends teaching this in the Spring term. Thirdly, policy around contraception access is changing. Starting this year individuals will be able to get the contraceptive pill directly from pharmacies, making things even easier for people who use contraception to manage their periods.
