Get Career Confident networking and CPD
Our Get Career Confident programme provides careers and progression advice and inspiration to young people and their teachers, parents and carers across Sussex.
Each term we run free CPD and networking events for teachers, careers advisors and practitioners working to support students with their progression and careers education. The sessions provide updates on the latest initiatives, resources and events as well as a space to share best practice. At our latest event, professionals from local organisations including nine schools and colleges from across Sussex were given the chance to hear from students about their own progression experiences and the areas in which they’d value more support in the future.
Common themes highlighted by the students were the lack of continuity and care immediately after leaving school and the significant academic jump between L3 and university and ways of preparing to make that step change less overwhelming – both areas in which Get Career Confident can help with free to access webinars, films and resources.
