With UCAS deadlines fast approaching, there’s no better time to start preparing. Our Get Career Confident website is dedicated to helping young people make informed, inspiring choices about their futures. Learners and their parents & carers can find our simple ‘how to’ guides on everything from researching universities to making a UCAS application and writing a university personal statement.
There are useful videos on a wide range of topics, from making an Oxford or Cambridge application, the cost of going to university, degrees students might not have heard of or even common UCAS application errors. Have a look at our videos here.
Learners can chat online to our qualified careers advisors who are happy to help answer any questions. The chat function is available on all pages of our site.
We also have a range of videos to support parent & carers which you can highlight for further information. Four of our parent ambassadors talk about supporting their child into and through university, including topics such as finance, adjusting to your child leaving home and applying to Oxford or Cambridge. The UCAS deadline for any course at Oxford or Cambridge and most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine/science and dentistry is 18:00 (UK time) 16th October 2023. The deadline for the majority of university courses is 18:00 (UK time) on 31st January 2024. Full details can be found on the UCAS website.
