Signpost your students to our wide range of results day resources
We know how stressful results days can be, especially if things haven’t gone quite to plan. But all is not lost! Signposting results day resources in advance can take the stress out of the day and we’ve got lots that could help….
For many thousands of young people, the 17th and 23rd August will be days of celebration, but for some they will be days of sadness and stress. But that’s where we can help.
Head over to our newly designed Get Career Confident website today to discover a host of useful resources to signpost your students to in advance of results day, so that they know where to turn if things don’t go to plan.
Here you’ll find five dedicated results day videos including:
- What to expect on results day
- What to do if your GCSE results are not what you expected
- What to do if your Alevel or BTec grades are not what you expected
- What to do if you don’t get the grades you need for university
- What is clearing?
Each video is only three mins long and is packed with practical advice, so the set is invaluable for anyone who finds themselves lost on results day.
On the Get Career Confident site, you’ll also discover ‘What Next?’ booklets that outlines everything students and their parents need to know and be thinking about as they negotiate milestone progression moments at 14, 16 and 18.
And remember to let your students know that they can always use the Live Chat facility on Get Career Confident whenever they have any questions. It links you direct to a qualified careers advisor so is an invaluable service for free on the day support and advice for those with any questions on results day.
We wish all students the best of luck for the 17th and 23rd and all teachers best wishes in supporting their students through this stressful time. Most of all we hope that the resources help those who don’t get the grades they wanted, to realise that all is far from lost and that a bright future still awaits...
