Over the past few years, What Next Sussex – our huge online careers and progression fair – has established itself as a ‘must attend’ event in the calendar of Sussex schools and colleges, so get the date in your students’ diaries and get them signing up…
Our 2023 What Next Sussex event is coming on 17th October! It’s a real must for any students in Years 10 and above making crucial decisions about their next education or careers steps.
At the huge online event, students will be able to meet and chat with a wide range of local sixth form colleges, universities and employers all in one place and all from the comfort of their classroom or home.
We will be holding two online sessions throughout the day:
- One from 1.30 to 3pm that can be accessed by students and teachers during the school day (making it ideal content for tutor periods or careers lessons)
- One from 6 to 7.30pm, that can be accessed independently by students once they are at home.
During the sessions students can:
- Hear from older students what life is like at local colleges and universities
- Find out more about the wide range of education and training options open to them at each stage of their education
- Learn about a wide range of career sectors and roles they might never considered before
- Hear about interesting courses, apprenticeship, training and internship options available to them on their doorstep in Sussex
- Talk directly to qualified careers advisors about their career aspirations and best routes into them
- Talk to local employers about the roles they offer and the qualifications and personal attributes they’re looking for.
