Students across Sussex inspired by WNS event
Students, teachers, parents and careers advisors in their hundreds logged onto our third annual What Next Sussex careers event back in early October, but don’t worry if you missed it! You and your students can still benefit…
This year’s What Next Sussex virtual careers and progression event drew over 50 education and employment providers from across the region, enabling the hundreds of young people who logged on to gain an inspiring overview of their post-16 options in just 90 minutes.
Both the afternoon session, which students could log onto from school or college, and the evening session which students could log onto from home with parents or carers, proved popular, showing the importance of the flexibility of the virtual careers format.
During each session students had the opportunity to visit and hear from further and higher education providers, training providers and employers, helping them to make important decisions about further study, training and employment. For the first time ever, students were also able to discover the hundreds of new sustainability related qualifications and roles available across Sussex in our dedicated ‘Green Room’.
Another stand out feature of our latest What Next Sussex event was the dedicated one-to-one chat service with our fully qualified careers guidance experts – a service that proved popular in both sessions.
If you missed the event, but would still like to see some of the video content that was made available, don’t panic! You can still check it out here. And if you’re a student, teacher or parent wanting a one stop shop to find out more about the education and training options available at all levels across Sussex you can check out our What Next Sussex directory.
