Independent Review of Children’s Social Care in England
The review’s aim was to build recommendations for how the children's social care system can be improved. It focuses on schooling, children, the social care system, secondary schooling and higher education institutions, with one of the review's five missions being 'to double the proportion of care leavers attending university, and particularly high-tariff universities, by 2026’. It also includes a recommendation for a new kitemark scheme for universities working with the National Network for the Education of Care Leavers (NNECL).
