Get Career Confident is a personal careers programme running in thirteen schools across Sussex. Developed in collaboration with the Sussex Learning Network and Elev8 Careers, the project is designed to improve the quality and quantity of personal guidance young learners receive and to raise awareness of progression and careers opportunities across the region, supporting learners to make informed choices about their futures.
Get Career Confident supports learners to get the most out of their personal guidance interview in school through a suite of online resources, videos and targeted social media campaigns. A dedicated website houses news, tools and videos designed to support careers education.
Get Career Confident engages with parents/carers and teachers through social media messages and direct contact to enhance provision and raise awareness of events and opportunities to support careers guidance. A range of CPD and training opportunities is available for careers advisors and teachers to help strengthen careers education practice and knowledge in the region.
The programme is funded through the Careers and Enterprise Company as part of the Personal Guidance Fund.
