We are excited to announce the launch of Get Career Confident – a personal careers programme running across thirteen schools in Brighton and Hove. Developed in collaboration with the Sussex Learning Network and Elev8 Careers, the project aims to improve the quality and quantity of personal guidance young learners receive and to raise awareness of progression and careers opportunities across the region supporting learners to make informed choices about their futures.

Get Career Confident will ensure that all learners receive a one-to-one personal guidance interview from a qualified careers advisor at a key stage in their decision making. The programme will also support learners to get the most out of their interview, and develop their decision making through a range of supporting resources and targeted social media campaign. A dedicated website will house news, tools and videos designed to support careers education.

Get Career Confident will also engage with parents/carers and teachers through social media messages and direct contact to enhance provision and raise awareness of events and opportunities to support careers guidance.  A suite of CPD and training opportunities will be available for careers advisors and teachers to help strengthen careers education practice and knowledge in the region.

The programme is funded through the Careers and Enterprise Company as part of the Personal Guidance Fund.
