As part of our CEC funded Get Career Confident programme, we host quarterly events open to careers advisors, teachers and practitioners who support young people with progression.
Please join us at 4pm for refreshments with a 4.30pm start. The agenda will cover:
Apprenticeships & Degree Apprenticeships
This session will provide information on how to support students who are interested in
undertaking an apprenticeship. It will cover what is available locally at Level 2 and above, an
overview of what Higher & Degree Apprenticeships are available nationally, and how to
navigate the application process.
An opportunity to ask parents and carers some questions about supporting young people to
make decisions at the various stages of school, college, university and careers.
Round table discussion – sharing best practice
What careers activities have you led in your school that have really worked? Did you do
anything in Careers Week that you’d like to share? This session will take place in small
groups and will be facilitated.
You are then warmly invited to stay on for drinks, nibbles and networking!
