Day 2 - Learning from research

125 delegates joined us for day 2 of Three by the Sea, where we considered how we can learn from research. After a warm welcome from Yvonne Hillier, Professor of Education at the University of Brighton, Richard Pring, Director of the Nuffield Review of 14-19 Education and Training, gave a lively presentation looking at lessons from the review, and urged the conference to stop talking about 'delivering' and start talking about teaching, reflection and improvement.

Sessions throughout the day presented the work of over 50 researchers from a range of local and national organisations, and provided a forum for practitioners to discuss practice based issues.

Day 2 closed with a presentation from Rhiannon Evans, Director of Action on Access, focusing on lessons learned from Aimhigher and the implications for Lifelong Learning Networks.
