SLN Board
Membership
Members and their alternates represent various networks in Sussex. These organisations have a direct interest in promoting vocational learning in further and higher education. The Board's chair comes from the accountable body (University of Brighton). The Director of the Sussex Learning Network is a member, along with 14 others.

Accountability
The SLN is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, LSC and SEEDA. The SLN is also accountable to the wider networks of learners, practitioners and employers in Sussex, and our Board represents their interests.
Responsibilities
The Board meets quarterly and has responsibility for:
- setting aims and monitoring the SLN’s delivery
- agreeing proposals for collaboration in seeking external funding to support the development of SLN activities
- promoting responsiveness to partner organisations
- providing accountability to HEFCE and SEEDA
- approving estimates of income and expenditure
- providing a forum for the discussion of issues relating to the interface between further and higher education in Sussex
- provide guidance and support to the SLN Team
- representing the public face of the Sussex Learning Network
