Who are we?

The Sussex Learning Network (SLN) is a partnership organisation. The University of Brighton is the accountable body.

What data do we collect?

For the administration of events and newsletter distribution we may collect personal and/or professional contact information from you. You can later request to have this information modified or removed from our systems.

Any personal information we collect from this website will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws.

Contacts database

The SLN does maintain a database of professional contacts, which we use to store information about organisations and people who may wish to receive our newsletter or attend one of our events. If you wish to have your information removed please contact the Information Officer.

Attendance lists for events

To facilitate networking we do provide attendants at our events with a printed list of the names of those who participated along with their job title, institution and email. If you do not wish these details to be made public to other participants then please contact the Information Officer.

Sussexroutes

When users select to 'save an agreement' their email is recorded to enable user identification. The SLN may follow up enquirers by email (where they have agreed by checking the tick-box) to ask whether they found what they were looking for. This helps us to make improvements to the site and our agreements. Email addresses will be held in the system until the January following the end of the academic year after which time the records will be deleted.

Use of cookies

Our site uses cookies to measure visitor statistics. However, no personal information is stored and the cookie disappears shortly after you leave our site.
