"What is a foundation degree?"

A foundation degree is a modern, vocational higher education (HE) qualification that combines study and hands-on work experience. Employers are involved in designing the courses, which include work-based learning.

A foundation degree is equivalent to the first 2 years of honours degree study and many foundation degrees can be 'topped up' with further study to become an honours degree.

You can find out more about foundation degrees on the Foundation degree Forward website. To find a foundation degree in Sussex, use the search facility on the foundation degrees in Sussex website.
