Sussex learning and labour market profile released by the LSC

Learning and Labour Market Area Profile for Sussex (PDF),  has been released by the LSC Sussex. The report provides an analysis of the socio-economic profile, labour market and skills supply and demand in Sussex.

The report provides the following:

  • Analysis of the local and regional social, economic, geographical and
    environmental conditions, with particular attention to issues that
    will have an impact on policy making in the learning and skills
    sector;
  • Analysis of the current state of learning for young people,
    including Year 11 destinations, post-16 participation patterns, young people's achievements and progression into higher education;
  • Analysis of the current state of learning for adults, including
    analyses of levels of qualifications held in the workforce;
  • Identification of current and likely future skills demand in the local labour market (based on the Working Futures II Survey); and
  • Analysis of the quality, volumes, and curriculum mix of the provision offered by local providers.
