Progression to HE from vocational courses
The Sussex Learning Network has developed progression agreements that will support people who are living, working or studying in Sussex to move into and through higher education.
Colleagues at local colleges and universities are invited to an event to raise awareness of the progression agreements that the Sussex Learning Network has developed. This event will focus on the progression agreements that have been developed in the following areas:
- Art and Design
- Music and Performing Arts
- Biosciences
- Community Practice
- Health and Social Care
- Travel, Tourism and Retail
Elaine Sinclair, an educational researcher with significant experience of vocational admissions, will facilitate the event. This event will:
- set the context of local progression agreements by providing information on barriers to the admission of vocational learners to HE
- raise awareness of progression agreements in Sussex
- provide information about Sussex routes, the new online progression tool for applicants and staff
- provide a forum for action planning to overcome barriers to admissions.
The event will be held at Bramber House Conference Centre, Falmer, Brighton, from 12.15 to 3.30 pm
To book a place, contact Moira Monk – m.monk@brighton.ac.uk, 01273 876766.
