SLN launch FdSc Rangiferine Studies

The Sussex Learning Network has been working with S.Claus Ltd to undertake a Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme, developing new curriculum to support a clear employer need. S.Claus Ltd are a significant employer during the festive season and have identified a higher level skills shortage in Reindeer Management. Under the Biosciences curriculum strand, a new FdSc Rangiferine Studies has been developed. A progression agreement has been put in place as part of the Sussex Vocational Progression Accord to ensure that the students can progress onto the BA Bioscience at the University of Brighton. This revolutionary new program will be delivered in a part-time blended mode with support provided by the SLN e-learning project. This FdSc represents one of many courses being developed by SLN partners to ensure increasing opportunities for accredited continuing professional development.
