Lifelong Learning Networks National Forum
24 Nov 2006

Lifelong Learning Network practitioners from across the country came together in Leeds on 22 November to share ideas and good practice at the first national conference organised by the LLN National Forum. The event was attended by over 120 practitioners, and gave staff from the 27 LLNs funded so far a valuable opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences, and to identify areas for joint working. The Sussex Learning Network was asked to share its progress in several areas, and led sessions on Staff Development (see the events section of this site for more information), Sport & Leisure, and Information, Advice and Guidance (you can find updates on these in the practitioner network).
Details of the conference are available on the new LLN National Forum website, which also launches the second edition of their newsletter. The newsletter contains lots of useful information and resources for people working with Lifelong Learning Networks across the country, in this edition you’ll find:
- A case study from Greater Merseyside and West Lancashire LLN
- A list of national events
- Information on progression routes
- Question and answers posed to HEFCE by the LLNs
