FREE EVENT:  Framework qualifications – how they can meet the needs of employers and enhance the HE offer

Would you like to find out about framework qualifications and how they can help us respond more effectively to the needs of employers?

Framework qualification are a new and exciting way of constructing courses to suit the demands of today’s changing HE landscape. This Sussex Learning Network event will look at best practice and case studies, what works and what doesn’t.

Where and when

This event will take place at the Bramber House Conference Centre, University of Sussex, from 14:00-16:30 on 13 October 2010. Refreshments will be available.

Our confirmed expert presenters include

Dr Mike Nicholls, Senior Lecturer in Education Studies & Partner College Liaison, University of Greenwich. Mike led on the development of framework qualifications at the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christchurch University, the DProf at the University of Middlesex (a work-based doctorate), and has extensive experience in the development of employer responsive HE. Mike’s session will focus on the value framework qualifications add to the HE offer, best practice, and how framework qualifications can be harnessed to meet the needs of employers.
