Facilitating learner progression in Sussex

Launch Event  for Learner Progression in Sussex in Hospitality,
Travel, Tourism and Retail Education

Date: Monday 19 November 2007
Time: 5.30 pm - 7.00pm
Location: Sussex Innovation Centre, University of Sussex

Sussex education providers and all other individuals who have an interest in vocational progression in the areas of Hospitality, Travel, Tourism and Retail are being invited to participate at this event, which will comprise of a series of brief presentations on:

  • The potential for facilitating learner progression in Sussex within the vocational specialisms of hospitality, travel, tourism and retail.
  • Educator and employer stakeholder experiences of participating in progression agreements.
  • How progression agreements can be further developed and established between educational institutions with minimum effort and maximum learner benefit.

These presentations will be followed at 6.15pm with a drinks and canapés reception.

This event will provide valuable networking opportunities with other educators who may wish to explore the potential for cross-institutional collaboration on student progression. There will be key members of the SLN team on hand to advise on how to initiate the necessary process for formalizing progression agreements should participants  wish to do so immediately.
