Efficient and transparent ways into higher education for work-based learners

The Sussex Progression and Credit System was formally launched at a conference on 7 December 2011, Maintaining momentum for vocational progression in the new HE environment. Speakers included Prof Stuart Laing, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Brighton, Tristram Hughes of consultancy CFE and Dr Russell Strutt, the Chair of FE Sussex.
The conference saw the formal launch of research produced by CFE and KSA on behalf of the Sussex Learning Network entitled Higher apprenticeships in Sussex: strategic proposition.
It also saw the introduction of a Guide for managing the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning in Sussex written by Ruth Keynes and Fenella Tallon for SLN.
