Chichester College - 'Principal of the year'

The principal of Chichester College, Dr Richard Parker, has been named 'Principal of the year' in a national awards ceremony.
Dr Parker, who has served at the college for nine years, collected his prize at the 'Leading the Learner Voice' awards ceremony held in London. He was nominated for 'actively engaging and supporting learners and for demonstrating a solid record of acting upon learner views'.
Organised by the Centre for Excellence in Leadership (CEL), this is the fist year that the Leading the Learner Voice awards have been held in order to recognise the work of oganisations and individuals who put learners' needs as top priority.
The Sussex Learning Network is working with vocational students from across Sussex to deliver a broad student engagement strategy, which includes the production of the Student Network Sussex website, a newsletter, marketing materials and an annual conference.
