32 percent of graduates look for employment leading to a professional qualification

The PDF UK Graduate Careers Survey 2007 produced by High Fliers Research in association with The Times has been released.

The survey showed that of the 17,170 finalists surveyed:

  • 24% were planning postgraduate study as an alternative to graduate employment
  • 32% of finalists looking for jobs listed 'gaining a professional qualification' as a very important element of their first employment
  • 29% of finalists looking for jobs listed 'using the subject you studied' as a very important element of their first employment
  • 27% of finalists looking for jobs listed 'a job that allows you to give something back to community' as a very important element of their first employment.
