Viki Faulkner - Director
Viki joined as Director of the Sussex Learning Network in June 2009. She has overall responsibility for the work of the SLN, which incorporates the Centre for Work and Learning employer engagement project, the Sussex Vocational Progression Accord, and the Learning at Work Information Service.
Prior to joining the SLN, Viki worked for the Kent and Medway LLN based at the University of Greenwich, Chatham Maritime. She was responsible for the development and implementation of the Kent and Medway Progression Accord and Progression Agreement Framework and for leading the strands of work on CPD, work based learning, and APEL.
With a strong background in FE and work based learning, Viki worked for 10 years at an FE college, initially combining this with work for a large independent training provider and latterly as Head of School and HE coordinator. She has developed a number of new Foundation Degree programmes focused around the Education, Early Years and Care sector and is still actively involved with the Quality Assurance Agency, where she is regularly involved as an IQER Reviewer. Viki’s research interests are in the fields of: HE in FE, Work Based Learning and employer engagement at the FE:HE interface.

Peter Barron - Deputy Director
Pete has overall responsibility for leading the Sussex Vocational Progression Accord development, establishing a CPD programme for those leading work-related learning, running a collaborative programme for the flexible development of leadership and management skills and developing a network of brokers working with employers.
Pete spent the last five years working for the Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research (CILT) running a national network of outreach centres for CPD and strategic liaison in the field of language teaching as Head of Regional Services. Pete has previously worked for Tribal Group on business development of educational consultancy and inspection services, Charlemagne Group on aspects of public affairs and the European Commission Representation in the UK on information campaigns and staff recruitment. He spent two years teaching English in Senegal and France.

Adam Stewart - Network Manager
Adam's areas of responsibility include managing the SLN's financial infrastructure, managing and developing the SLN's communications strategy, and the provision of administrative support
Prior to taking on the role of Network Manager, Adam worked as the SLN Administrative Assistant.
Before joining the SLN, Adam managed a Rail Union Learning project, promoting learning opportunities among non-traditional learners.
